Title: Riverton Borough - Burlington County
Municipal Clerk – Riverton Borough.
Is seeking a qualified Municipal Clerk/Registrar of Vital Statistics to serve as Secretary to the Governing Body and custodian of municipal records. This is a full-time, statutory position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparation and maintenance of governing body agendas, minutes, ordinances, and resolutions; oversight of public records and compliance with the Open Public Records Act (OPRA); coordination of municipal election responsibilities; certification and attestation of official municipal documents, licenses, and permits; maintenance of oaths of office, bonds, and appointments; and responding to inquiries from elected officials, municipal departments, and the public. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; college coursework is preferred. Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) certification is preferred; candidates who do not possess certification at the time of appointment must obtain RMC certification within one (1) year and maintain certification in good standing, including required continuing education. The salary range is $65,000 - $85,000 (with certification), commensurate with experience, and includes eligibility for health benefits, enrollment in the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS), and paid time off in accordance with Borough policies and applicable agreements.
