DEPUTY TOWNSHIP CLERK – Seeking a full time Deputy Township Clerk who will report to the Township Clerk. Preferred candidate will have at least five years of experience in a municipal clerk’s office. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, all the statutory duties pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133 et seq. Assist in the preparation of meeting agendas, packets, minutes, notices, publications, processing of OPRA requests, records management inventory and destruction duties, issuance of various licenses and permits, and assisting in all election duties. Will serve as Alternate Registrar of Vital Statistics. The successful applicant must be detailed-oriented with excellent computer, organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. RMC license required (or close to obtaining) and CMR license preferred or willing to obtain within the first year of employment. Experience with Edmunds is preferred as is experience with GovPilot, GovDeals and Artemis. Salary is $58,500.00 - $85,000.00 depending on qualifications (DOQ) and in accordance with salary ordinance. All other benefits are in accordance with Township Policy. The Township of Monroe reserves the right to interview and hire a candidate prior to the expiration of the posting of this advertisement.
