The Township of Jackson is currently seeking applicants for the position of Deputy Township Clerk. The desired candidate for the position will report directly to the Municipal Clerk and perform duties assigned by the Municipal Clerk including, but not limited to interacting with the public, processing OPRA requests, processing and issuing various licenses, assisting in the preparation of agendas, drafting minutes, and performing the duties of the Municipal Clerk in his/her absence. The ideal candidate should have strong background processing OPRA requests, excellent communication and customer service skills, and a willingness to learn working in a busy office. Municipal Government experience and a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) license is required. A Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) certification is preferred.
