Fairfield Township is accepting applications for a Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator.  The Township is seeking a qualified person that is responsible for the provision of leadership in the field of Emergency Management at the municipal level of government.  As such, the Coordinator is responsible for Emergency Management program administration and program development encompassing the four phases of Emergency Management, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.   Requirements and Qualifications Requirements; The Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator shall have a minimum of two years’ experience in the planning, development, administration of emergency response activities such as those provided by police, fire,rescue,medical or Emergency Management units either in the public or private sector or in the military service.  Must be a resident of Fairfield Township.  The following courses shall be completed within one (1) year of appointment:  Emergency Program Manager-FEMA independent study course, Emergency Management Workshop-Basic.  Following the completion of the first years; course, the Municipal Emergency Management Coordinator must complete 24 hours of Emergency Management Continuing Education per year.  All courses taken by the Coordinator must be submitted to and approved by the County Emergency Management Coordinator. NOTE: Work experience or the holdings of other certificates MAY NOT be substituted for above listed educational requirements.   Appointees will be required to possess a valid driver’s license in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the positon.  Please submit a cover letter, resume, and copies of current degrees/licenses by October 29, 2021, to Clerk Linda M. Gonzales Fairfield Township P.O.
