Oldmans Township, Salem County is seeking a full-time NJ Registered Municipal Clerk/Registrar of Vital Statistics. Successful candidate will perform all statutory duties of the Municipal Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics . Candidate must possess both Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar Certificates, or must have prior experience as a Municipal Clerk or Deputy Clerk, and Registered Municipal Clerk or Deputy Registrar. Responsibilities include secretary to the governing body, chief administration officer of elections and licensing, and issuing vital statistics records. Must have experience in preparing meeting agendas, writing resolutions and ordinances, preparing minutes, OPRA, financial disclosures, RFP and bid processes, records management, stormwater management records and all other duties of the municipal clerk in accordance with State and local statutes. Must attend Township Committee meetings and special meetings, typically in evening, as well as two full election days. The candidate should be organized, computer proficient, able to manage multiple tasks, customer service oriented and work independently. This is a full-time position, which includes health benefits, PTO and enrollment in the State Pension Plan upon permanent appointment. Position will be available January 1, 2026.
