Title: Howell Township - Monmouth County
Howell Township is seeking a full time Municipal Clerk. Candidates must possess a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) certification and have a minimum 3 years Municipal Clerk or Deputy Municipal Clerk experience. Duties include but not limited to: serves as secretary to the governing body and to the municipal corporation, acts as chief administrative officer for election activities, preparation of agendas, minutes and resolutions, maintaining municipal code book, issuance of licensing and permits amongst other duties. Successful candidate must attend all Township Council meetings. The Clerk serves as the custodian of records and the municipal seal. Applicants must have thorough knowledge of modern office practices and have supervisory experience as this position serves as Department Head. The candidates must have superior customer service experience and excellent oral and written communication skills with a knowledge of the functions and activities of municipal government. Salary Range is $65,000-$122,479 is DOQ in accordance with the Townships established salary ordinance, plus full benefits package and state pension.
