Assistant Municipal Clerk. Full time position, shall assist the Borough Clerk with, all of the duties and responsibilities of the Borough Clerk, Registrar, and the Custodian of Record, both in person and through correspondence, as directed by the Borough Clerk. Compensation and terms of employment shall be shall be consistent with the IBEW Local 1158, and the Employee Policies and Procedures Manual. Applicant must be willing, open and capable of advancement withing the municipal Clerk career path and be capable of succeeding in the education process to do so. Candidates who have begun the educational municipal government process and or a strong social media background will receive strong consideration. Experience with or willing to be trained in Edmunds/MCSJ software. Explicit knowledge of MS Office, most importantly Word and Excel and be able to conduct varied clerical tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, documentation and photocopying, ordering supplies, processing various permit applications, meeting room scheduling, after hours election assistance. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Starting compensation for this position is predicated upon, knowledge, job experience, certifications and training. Health, Dental, and Prescription plans are available. Salary range is $ 45,000 to $65,000. This position is subject to background check.
