The Borough of Milltown is seeking a full-time Deputy Borough Clerk to provide direct support and perform duties assigned by the Municipal Clerk. Duties will include, but are not limited to processing OPRA requests, receiving and issuing various licenses and permits, assisting in preparation of meeting agendas, drafting minutes, assisting with elections and registrar of vital statistics functions. This position is for 35 hours per week, with extra hours for elections and possibly council meetings. Experience as a Certified Municipal Registrar is a must. The preferred candidate will have at least two (2) years’ experience performing most or many of these duties in a Municipal Clerks Office. Candidates must have excellent written and effective communication skills with attentiveness to detail and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Knowledge of licensing software is a plus, as is being a notary public. Salary range is $35,000 to $65,000, with paid sick, vacation and personal time, SHBP coverage, dental options, and eyeglass reimbursement.
