Deputy Municipal Clerk/Finance Clerk (FT)

The Township of Woolwich is seeking a qualified candidate for this full-time position combining municipal administration and financial operations. This role supports both municipal clerk operations and financial management functions, handling OPRA requests, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, issuing permits and licenses, processing vendor payments and invoices, managing purchase orders, preparing deposits, processing payroll, and performing other administrative and financial duties as assigned. The successful candidate must be able to assume Municipal Clerk duties when needed.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in municipal government with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required, along with the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Experience with Edmunds and Casa Payroll systems is preferred.

 

Current salary range is $42,000 to $62,000 with benefits including enrollment in NJ PERS, paid vacation, sick and personal days, and medical, dental and vision coverage. Equal Opportunity Employer.
