Title: Township of Aberdeen - Monmouth County


MUNICIPAL CLERK-The Township of Aberdeen is seeking a full-time Municipal Clerk.

Qualified candidates must possess Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) certification along with a minimum of two years NJ local government experience. Certified Municipal Registrar Certification (CMR) license preferred, but not required. The form of government follows the Faulkner Act Council-Manager. The Clerk’s duties include, but are not limited to, serve as Secretary to the Governing Body, preparing Council meeting agendas, minutes, attend all Council meetings, review and respond to OPRA requests, chief administrative officers for elections (13 election districts), custodian of municipal records, and issue licenses and permits. Candidates must have excellent communication, clerical, organization and computer skills; including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Edmunds.
