COLTS NECK TOWNSHIP

JOB OPENING – ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Part-time position to provide direct assistance and support to the Township Clerk.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must be highly organized with attention to detail and have the ability to multi task.  Must be able to work cooperatively with government officials, department heads, staff, volunteers and members of the public. 

Candidate must possess excellent clerical capabilities including, but not limited to record keeping, data entry and filing.  Responsibilities include assisting with preparation of meeting packets; coordinating special projects; scheduling meetings; assisting with business licensing; receiving, tracking and preparing OPRA (Open Public Records Act) requests; and election duties.

Prior municipal government experience within the Municipal Clerk’s office, a plus.  RMC certification or a commitment to obtaining a RMC certification is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook is required.  EOE/AA. 

Part-time:  3-4 days per week; 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m./3:00 p.m.
