MUNICIPAL CLERK/REGISTRAR- SALEM CITY, SALEM COUNTY- Full time, salaried position, with benefits- Seeking responsible, dedicated professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Registered Municipal Clerk Certification and Municipal Registrar Certification a plus, but will consider candidates who have the ability to obtain these certifications within the required timeframes.
Must be capable of managing and prioritizing a diversified workload. Clerk duties include preparation of agendas, attend and record minutes of all City Council meetings, records management and OPRA compliance, RFP and bid process, maintaining and recording of all official documents, managing elections, and issuing a variety of licenses and permits.
Supervisory experience helpful. Excellent written and communication is critical. Must have the ability to work cooperatively with government officials, department heads, employees, volunteers and the public.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent computer proficiency skills including Microsoft Office Suite, website management, financial management software and the willingness to adapt to new programs as changes warrant.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. References required. NJ residency is also required. Salem City preferred but can be waived.
